Sun tanning
Sun tanning is the darkening of the skin, especially of fair-skinned individuals, in response to exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunshine (or a sunbed).
Other meanings
Suntan was also the code name of an early prototype to the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft by the Lockheed Skunk Works. The aircraft was in development during the 1950's, it was to be powered by LH2. A LH2 powered aircraft was consider too dangerous and expensive to maintain and the project was canceled, the research was redirect using more conventional fuels and resulted in the SR-71.
