Sulmona


 
 

Sulmona, a city and comune of the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo, Italy, 42°02 13°56E, with 25,276 inhabitants according to official 2003 census figures. It was in ancient times one of the most important cities of the Paeligni and is known for being the native town of Ovid.
