Sukumar Ray
Sukumar Ray (Bangla:??????? ????) (1887-1923) was a Bengali satirist and illustrator of mainly "nonsense rhymes" and short stories for children. More than 80 years after his death, Ray remains the most popular of children's writers in both West Bengal and Bangladesh. Sukumar Ray was the son of Upendrakishore Ray (Ray Chowdhury) and the father of Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray.
