Student nation
A student nation is a society of students at universities in Sweden, mainly the two oldest Uppsala University and Lund University. They organize and promote social activities such as pubs, discos and cultural events.

The word nation refers to a province in Sweden. Uppsala for example has thirteen student nations representing different provinces. Some but not all student nations have rules that you have to originate from that province to become a member.
