Strong Persuader
Released in 1986, Strong Persuader was Robert Cray's breakthrough album to the mainstream and his small fanbase grew to gigantic proportions. He would forever be listed with such great names as Otis Rush and Buddy Guy. To some, Cray also became one of the first blues sex symbols to emerge in decades. Many people liked this album better than his others because of all the smooth jazz influences, combined with Cray's great talent on the blues guitar. Fittingly, "Strong Persuader" also became a nickname for Cray.
