Strickland Propane

Strickland Propane is a propane store on the animated series King of the Hill. The address of the Strickland Propane store, is located at 135 Los Gatos Road. Buck Strickland owns the company, though he delegates most of the day-to-day responsibilities to his most loyal employee, Hank. Strickland sells propane and propane accessories, such as grills, which is especially showcased during its annual "Grillstravaganza" sale. Assistant manager Hank Hill is the company's best salesman and has received Strickland's "Employee of the Month" award numerous times (41 times consecutively as of Episode 2.20 "Junkie Business").

The company slogan is "Taste the meat, not the heat," and refers to the way that propane does not alter or mask the taste of meat while grilling, unlike charcoal.

In Episode 2.23 ("Propane Boom," broadcast May 17, 1998) Mega Lo Mart began selling propane, which ran Strickland out of business in Arlen. Following an explosion at its store Mega Lo Mart stopped selling propane, and Strickland resumed business as usual.
