Stormy Weather
"Stormy Weather" is a 1933 song written by Harold Arlen and Ted Koehler. Ethel Waters first sang it at The Cotton Club night club in Harlem. It became a hit record and inspired the following movie.
Film Adaptation
Stormy Weather is a 1943 musical film which tells in flashback the story of a famous dancer who meets a young singer, both on the rise, whose lives intersect only briefly over the years.

The movie was adapted by Frederick J. Jackson, Ted Koehler and H.S. Kraft from the story by Jerry Horwin and Seymour B. Robinson. It was directed by Andrew L. Stone.
