~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ singer and sometime guitarist, from Youngstown, Ohio, in the bands Rocket From The Tombs, The Dead Boys, The Wanderers and The Lords of the New Church. He also recorded as a solo artist. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In 1981, he co-starred in the John Waters film Polyester. Stiv also made a guest appearance as "Dick Slammer," the lead singer of "The Blender Children" in the 1988 film Tapeheads. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Bators died after being struck by a car while standing on a sidewalk in Paris; not realizing the seriousness of his injuries, he went back to his room, where he died in his sleep. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
