Stewart Grand Prix
Stewart Grand Prix was formed by three times Formula One champion Jackie Stewart and his son Paul Stewart. With backing from Ford, they entered the 1997 Australian Grand Prix with drivers Rubens Barrichello and Jan Magnussen. The only success of their first year came at the rain-affected Monaco Grand Prix where Barrichello finished an impressive second.

After Ford acquired Cosworth in July 1998, they risked designing and building a brand-new engine for 1999. It paid off. The SF3 was consistently competitive throughout the season and Johnny Herbert lucked into a victory at the European Grand Prix at the new Nurburgring, with Barrichello third.

After Ford increased its commitment by buying the team out, it became known as Jaguar Racing for the 2000 season, but that did not guarantee further success, as evidenced by Ford's decision to pull out of Formula One completely after the 2004 season. It was a sad end to what people were predicting in 1999 to be the Ferrari team in 'British Racing Green'. In five competitive seasons, the team achieved only two podiums.
