Steven Cojocaru


 

Steven Cojocaru (born on January 5, 1965 in Montreal, Canada) is a fashion expert. From a family of Jewish immigrants from Romania, Cojocaru started out as a magazine columnist, and eventually began working on American television shows, as a commentator and interviewer of stars. Sarah Jessica Parker is one of Cojocaru's friends.

After moving to Hollywood, he began writing a column that eventually reached over 100 American newspapers. He was People Magazine's west coast fashion editor, and he has written an autobiography, Red Carpet Diaries: Confessions of a Glamour Boy (2003).

In November 2004 he announced that he was suffering from polycystic kidney disease and will require a kidney transplant. He underwent transplant surgery in January, after his friend Abby Finer donated one of her kidneys. However, the kidney became infected with a virus, and in June 2005 he had another kidney surgery to have the transplant removed. On August 17, he announced that the virus was gone from his body and that he was ready to find a new transplant to replace the one removed.
