Steve Stevens


 

Steve Stevens (born as Steve Schneider on May 5, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York) is best known for his often excellent lead-guitar playing for other artists (most notably Billy Idol) and somewhat lesser known for his solo effort Atomic Playboys, which featured an MTV hit single video of the same name.

Encounter with Kyosuke Himuro

Stevens has wtitten and performed some songs, recorded with Japanese singer Kyosuke Himuro, who is Stevens' junior by one year, many times. The years which Stevens was involved in Himuro's music session first was Himuro's big hit single "NATIVE STRANGER" in 1996 (Incidentally, Stevens appeared in this song's PV with Himuro).

Stevens participated in Himuro's album "I?DE?A" in 1997 as a guitarist, songwriter, arranger. In this way, Stevens and Himuro's music session realized because Himuro was a fan of Stevens for some time.

Thereafter, the relationship of mutual trust between Stevens and Himuro deepened. Because Stevens participated in Himuro's album, Himuro's music changed gradually like Western hard rock.

Stevens participates in Himuro's concert tour willingly. And there, Stevens has played his song "Dementia".

Now Stevens doesn't participate in Himuro's concert because Stevens is busy with Billy Idol's works but, many Himuro's fan hopes that Stevens returns to Himuro's session.
