Stereo
 The word component stereo- is Greek for "solid". It occurs in several scientific terms. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ - In common usage stereo commonly means this: see stereophonic sound.
- Recording sound using two or more microphones at once.
- Playing such a recording back through more than one speaker.
- An electronic device for reproducing stereo sound.
- Because of this, "stereo" or "in stereo" is sometimes used colloquially for when two rather than one of something are present.
- In chemistry, stereoisomers are molecules which are the same except that bond angles are different, and see stereochemistry.
