Stephen Tompkinson is a British actor, born 15 October 1965 in Stockton-on-Tees.

Tompkinson first came to prominence with the role of Damien Day in the satirical comedy Drop The Dead Donkey in 1989.He has since starred in the film Brassed Off, and teamed up with Nick Berry in crime-solving drama In Deep. As well as starring in other television dramas, he has also appeared regularly on stage.
