Stephen Hodges

Stephen, a South Florida native, although aggrandized to some extent, may or may not be recognized, however the fact remains that he has attempted to explain or perhaps even reiterated some important theories underlying search engine technology through a blog. He basically says that for a search engine to provide accurate and relevant results, as well as provide suggested reading materials, certain algorithms and processes would have to be integrated, which include but not nessecarily limit it to being able to process natural language into manageable objects with associated metadata, as well as being able to accurately check grammar and spelling

He insists that the basis of NLP (Natural Language Processing) is a fundamental axiom of Artificial Intelligence and provides a mechanism not just capable of finding relevent documents based on any given search criteria, but also capable of deducing factual information out of human written text; thus being able to learn.

Although he remains steadfast that he is correct, the Artificial Intelligence community formed by Ray Kurzweil has not responded to any such claims as of yet. It is possible that in the future if more experts were to agree early on, that the works being suggested would be submitted for further review. Until that happens, only individual peer reviews will remain sought after.
