Sednaoui achieved success as a fashion, journalist and advertising photographer before his photographs of entertainment celebrities brought him further attention in the early 1990s. Among his subjects were Kylie Minogue (with whom he had a relationship over several years), Björk, Claire Danes, Liv Tyler, Courtney Love, Claudia Schiffer, Richard Pryor, Robert Mitchum and Billy Wilder.
