Starting lineup
A starting lineup in basketball is the set of five players on one team at the start of a game. The players are called starters, whereas the others are substitutes or bench players. Commonly the starters are the best five players on one team, although many coaches have the strategy of putting some of them on the bench. Therefore, there is some sort of prestige in being named as a starter on a team.
