Plot
The protagonists are two California policemen, the dark-haired David Starsky (Paul Michael Glaser) playing the muscleman and driver and the blond Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson (David Soul) being a more intellectual type of cop. They were known for driving a flashy and distinctive Ford Torino, painted red with a large white stripe (reminiscent of the Nike swoosh logo). Their main underworld contact is Huggy Bear (Antonio Fargas).
