Starsky and Hutch was a 1970s American television series that consisted of 92 episodes of 48 minutes and a single 90 minute pilot, created by William Blinn and broadcast between April 30 1975 and May 15 1979 on the ABC network. It was directed by Jack Starrett (under the name Claude Ennis Starrett Jr.). Starrett later directed The Dukes of Hazzard (1979), another US TV series that featured car chases and a protagonist duo with an iconic vehicle.
