Starman (EarthBound)

Starmen are fictional characters from Nintendo's Famicom game Mother. They are some of Giegue's best troops, and are out to destroy Ninten and his friends. They come in four classes: Starman Jr., Starman, Blue Starman, and Final Starman.

In Mother 2, better known outside Japan as EarthBound, there are six classes: Starman Jr., Starman, Starman Super, Starman DX, Ghost of Starman, and Final Starman. This time, though, they are working for the new antagonist known as Giygas (Who is very likely to actually be Giegue in another form). A Starman Jr. is encountered early in game and is defeated with the help of Buzz Buzz. However, later on Ness must battle the Starmen on his own.

They appear in several places throughout the games, as well as on many promotional materials (such as the North American EarthBound cartridge label). There is also a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee displaying a Starman.
