Unlike the first game, Elite Force II is set onboard the USS Enterprise-E, stationed in the Alpha Quadrant. The game's storyline is a semi-sequel to the movie ', and the end of ' series. Some characters from the first game reappear. However, unlike in the first game, a few of the primary cast of ' provided voice acting for this game. Appearing cast members include Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, Dwight Schultz as Reginald Barclay, and Tim Russ as Tuvok (brought over to the Enterprise-E from Voyager).
