Stanis?aw ?ó?kiewski

Stanis?aw ?ó?kiewski, (1547 – 7 October 1620) was a Polish noble (szlachcic) of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, magnate, Field Crown Hetman from 1588 to 1613, castellan of Lwów from 1590, voivode of Kyiv from 1608, Great Crown Hetman from 1613 to 1620, Great Crown Chancellor from 1618. During his lifetime he won major military victories against Muscovy, the Ottoman Empire and Tatars.

In 1607 he defeated rokoszan forces near Guzow. In 1610 he was victorious at K?uszyn. He captured Moscow and the tsar Vasiliy Shuyskiy during the Dymitriads. Supported the election of W?adys?aw IV Waza for tsar and the idea of personal union between the Commonwealth and Muscovy.
