St Bees
St Bees is a village on the Cumberland coast, 7 km S. of Whitehaven. It has a Church of England Theological College, founded in 1816 by Dr. Law, bishop of Chester; designed for students of limited means, a ruined priory church of Henry I's time was renovated for the accommodation of the college. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
