SSV
SSV is the shortened name of the band SSV-NSMABAAOTWMODAACOTIATW, formed by Sisters of Mercy singer Andrew Eldritch in 1997, as a way to get out of the Sisters' contract with WEA. Eldritch produced and provided vocals for the band, which did not feature any other members of the Sisters of Mercy.

It is thought that the band's name stands for "Screw Shareholder Value - Not So Much A Band As Another Opportunity To Waste Money On Drugs And Ammunition courtesy Of The Idiots At Time Warner".

SSV recorded one album, Go Figure, which was not officially released, though it has been bootlegged in various formats. Made up of drumless techno, the album is generally regarded as being very bad, and the band themselves are supposed to have recommended that fans download the album rather than paying for a copy.
