SportsNet New York
SportsNet New York, also known by the initials SNY, is a New York City-based sports cable network scheduled to launch in 2006. Owned by the New York Mets, Time Warner and Comcast, the network will be the home to at least 125 Met games a year, as well as college football games and college basketball games.

SNY has drawn comparisons with the New York Yankee-owned YES Network, which popularized the team-owned regional sports network in the United States. In addition, the network is expected to have problems being carried by cable systems owned by Cablevision, as Met games are being moved to the network from FSN New York and the MSG Network, both of which are owned by Cablevision.
