Spanish announcers' table

In the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment, the Spanish announcers' table is where the Spanish-speaking professional wrestling announcers (Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich) sit, located near ringside. However, the Spanish announcers' table has become a staple in modern professional wrestling as a convenient device for wrestlers to execute dramatic moves on, such as the Piledriver or the Pedigree, which almost always results in the destruction of the table, as it is designed to fold on impact.

As with all cases of using a foreign object in professional wrestling, there is a larger amount of risk when performing wreslting moves with these tables; unlike the standard tables used in professional wrestling, the announcers' tables are equipped with small television monitors, which are used by announcers keep track of any action that happens beyond their sight. In most cases, before even using the table, wrestlers will sweep this material onto the floor.

Although dangerous, almost every regular participant in high profile wrestling matches in the WWE has either put someone else through the Spanish announcers' table, or has gone through it themselves. Over the years it has become a cliche to hear English-speaking announcer Jim Ross scream, "He's just gone through the Spanish announcers' table!" Playing with his own cliche, he once even proclaimed, "...but we're not the Spanish announcers!" when his own table was used during a match.

The most memorable destruction of a Spanish announcers' table occurred during Mankind's (Mick Foley) Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker (Mark Calaway), where Foley was thrown off of a steel cage onto the table. Fellow wrestlers were so worried that Terry Funk even broke kayfabe to make sure Foley wasn't seriously injured.
