South Lake Tahoe is a city located in El Dorado County, California. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 23,609.

Geography

South Lake Tahoe is located at 38°55'45" North, 119°59'4" West (38.929237, -119.984347){{GR|1}}. As its name suggests it is located on the southern shore of Lake Tahoe, close to the Nevada border and the town of Stateline, Nevada.
