- Sounder Commuter Rail, a commuter rail system in the Puget Sound area of Washington.
- A member of the Seattle Sounders, the name of two professional soccer teams, a men's team and a women's team, based in Seattle, Washington.
- Telegraph sounder, a device which produces an audible sound when connected to an operating electrical telegraph.
- Echo sounder, a device used to measure the depth of water by sending acoustic pulses from the surface and measuring the time it takes for their echo to return from the bottom. See SONAR.
- Sounder is a collective noun for a group of wild boar.
