The channel is managed by Information TV, a factual channel which broadcasts on the same frequency between midnight and 16:00. Sound TV's launch was delayed several times under its working title of The Great British Television Channel. It intends to extend to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week programming, although a reduction in its programming output, and then changing of the name tag on Sky channel; 277 back to Information TV implies that this may not happen
