Soulpepper
Soulpepper Theatre Company is a Toronto theater company dedicated to presenting classic plays. It was founded in 1998 by twelve Toronto artists and has since then become an important part of Toronto's theatre scene. Its plays have seen rave reviews for its Canadian interpretations of works by such luminaries as Harold Pinter, Thornton Wilder, Samuel Beckett, and Anton Chekhov. The current artistic director is Albert Schultz.

A permanent home for Soulpepper, the Young Centre for the Performing Arts is now under construction and slated to open in 2005. The joint project with the George Brown College theatre school is designed by local firm KPMB and located in the Distillery District.
