Group from The Hague that specialised in copying the Beatles' sound. Line-up: Bas Muys (v, g, p, later in Stars on 45), Peter v.d. Vossen (b, in 1973 replaced by Ton van der Meer), Mark Boon (g, to The Hammer, Stamp 'n Go, Diesel, Meike Touw's Tutti Frutti, Vitesse, Margriet Eshuys Band, The Zoo, Freek de Jonge and Henk Westbroek & Consorten) and on drums, successively Paul v.d. Vossen (1972-1973), Cees Meerman (1973-1974, ex-Minisink Townhouse, to Bonfire) and Art Bausch (1974, ex-Barrelhouse, to Trail). Smyle existed from 1972 till 1974. Bas Muys was on lead vocals on the first Stars on 45 single and also made a solo single.
