Trivia

Some interesting information:

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

  • the longest more-or-less "normal" word that can be formed is "najneobpo?nohospodárovate?nej?ieho" (or "najneobpo?nohospodárovate?nej?iemu"), (the first one is the accusative and imperfective aspect of the expression "the least farmable")
  • the longest consonant cluster is found in the compound word "?tvr?vz?blnknutie", it is however rather artificial. But compounds like "?tvr?prst", "?tvr??blnknutie" and similar sound natural. Longest frequent consonant cluster found in Slovak National Corpus seems to be in word "?tvr?storo?ný" and derivates.
  • the most frequent words found in Slovak National Corpus are these:
  • a (and), v (in), sa (oneself- reflexive pronoun), na (on/at), je (is), ?e (,that), s (with), o (about), z (from), aj (also), to (it), do (into), ako (as/like)

  • the most frequent verbs are by? (to be), ma? (to have), môc? (can), poveda? (to say)
  • Slovak for "no" is nie {{IPA|/n?i???/}}, Slovak for "yes" is áno {{IPA|/a?n?/}} (it is funny that Korean for "no" is ??? /anio/, Korean for "yes" is ? {{IPA|/n?/}}.)
