A sleepover (also called a slumber party) is a type of party which a guest or guests are invited to another's house to stay overnight. For the most part, participants are children or adolescents of the same sex. A pajama party (also spelled pyjama party) is a specific type with some focus on the clothing worn. The participants typically stay up late, and talk and play until they fall asleep. These are usually held at one of the participant's homes with other children bringing their own pillows and other bedtime paraphernalia much of the time. Sometimes children will play board games, watch movies, or engage in pillow fights. Teenagers might have a LAN party at a sleepover. They are primarily held in Western cultures, and are considered fun by many children.
