Skip Spence
Skip Spence (born Alexander Lee Spence on April 18 1946 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada - died April 16 1999) was a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and former member of Jefferson Airplane, as drummer, and Moby Grape. He recorded on both group's first albums, was committed to New York's Bellevue Hospital, and upon his release recorded his own solo psychedelic folk album Oar (Columbia 1969). More Oar: A Tribute to Alexander "Skip" Spence was released a few weeks after his death.
