Sioux City, Iowa
Sioux City is a city located in Western Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 85,013. It is the county seat of Woodbury County{{GR|6}}.
Parks and recreation
Stone State Park is in the northwest corner of the city, overlooking the South Dakota/Iowa border. It has been a popular mountain bike destination since the late 1980's.

Grandview Park is located in the center of the city along the Missouri River. The Municipal Bandshell is located in the park. The Saturday in the Park festival is held there annually.

The Sergeant Floyd memorial commemorating the death site of the only man to die on the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Charles Floyd. It is a national momument.

Bacon Creek Park is located in Morningside and includes paddleboat and canoe rentals.

Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center is a destination nature preserve for the region.

Chris Larsen Park, informally known as "The Riverfront" is the launching point for the riverboat casino and includes the Anderson Dance Pavilion and the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, opened in 2004. Massive Missouri River development is taking place in 2005 with the opening of the MLR Tyme Marina area which will include an upscale restaurant called Beverly's.
