Simon Wiesenthal

Simon Wiesenthal, honorary KBE, (31 December, 1908 – 20 September, 2005), was an Austrian-Jewish architectural engineer who became a Nazi hunter after surviving the Holocaust.

Honors

• Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire on 19 February 19 2004, in recognition of a "lifetime of service to humanity." The knighthood also recognized the work of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
