Siler City, North Carolina
Siler City is a town located in Chatham County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 6,966. Siler City was the home of Frances Bavier (1902-1989) an American actress, best remembered for her role as Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show, a television sitcom in the 1960s set in the fictional town of Mayberry, North Carolina.
