Sierra Club of/du Canada

Sierra Club of/du Canada (SCC) is the Canadian affiliate of the United States-based Sierra Club. It is part of the environmental movement.

The parent Sierra Club, which has chapters in the various U.S. states, also had Canadian chapters. In 1992, the Canadian organization was incorporated as a separate entity. As of 2005 it has approximately 10,000 members. Its main office is in Ottawa, but it has several other offices throughout Canada.

SCC is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, three members of which are elected each year in an election in which all SCC members can vote.
