Shirley Strum Kenny

Shirley Strum Kenny is the current President of Stony Brook University, and the first woman to hold that position. She previously served as the president of Queens College. She is a graduate of UTD. Ms. Kenny sits on the board of directors of numerous corporations including Computer Associates. During her time as president at Stony Brook, she has worked to encourage the quality of undergraduate education at the school, as well as overseeing closer connections with Brookhaven National Laboratory and has overseen vast growth of the University. She is married and has five children.
