Sherwood Boehlert
Sherwood Boehlert (born September 28, 1936) is an American politician from New York. He is currently a member of the House of Representatives, representing New York's upstate 24th Congressional District (map) as a Republican.
Congressional career
Boehlert has served on the Science Committee since his arrival in the House; in 2001, he was made the Chairman of the committee. In addition, he is third-ranking member of the Transportation Committee; from 1995 to 2000, he served as the Chairman of its Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment. He is also a member of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
