Sharon Watts

Sharon Watts (now known as Sharon Rickman) is a character on the popular BBC1 soap opera EastEnders, played by Letitia Dean.

Sharon is the adopted daughter of 'Dirty' Den Watts and Angie Watts. She was known to Den as his 'princess' and he made sure suitors watched their step around the teenage Sharon. Even though she disapproved of her father's dodgy deals and his constant fighting with Angie, she loved Den nonetheless. She did get very angry though when he got her best friend, Michelle Fowler, pregnant with Vicki Fowler.

Sharon's love life has not been worth bragging about as past suitors have included Simon Wicks, Grant Mitchell (whom she married), Phil Mitchell (with whom she had an affair while married to Grant, 'Twinkly' Tom Banks (to whom she was engaged and lost when he died in a fire), and finally 'Desperate' Dennis Rickman, her adoptive father's biological son.

She bought the E20 club with Tom from Beppe DiMarco when he left Albert Square in 2002, which she named Angie's Den after her adoptive parents.

Sharon was also reunited with her father Den (who was thought to be dead) in 2003, and his biological children Dennis Rickman (with whom she shared a passionate on-off relationship) and Vicki Fowler (who moved in with Sharon when she could no longer stand domineering grandmother Pauline). After initial wariness, she has also befriended Den's second wife Chrissie.

Accompanied by sister Vicki, Sharon left the Square on Christmas Day 2004. This represented a pyrrhic victory for Den, who succeeded in destroying her relationship with Dennis at the cost of losing the only person, he finally admitted, he had ever loved.

Sharon returned with Dennis in June 2005, and the two were married on the day their father's body was discovered.
