Sharon Mae Disney

Sharon Mae Disney (December 21 1936-1993) is the adopted daughter of entertainer Walt Disney and wife, Lillian Raines. She was adopted by the Disneys at two weeks old.

Sharon was adopted by the Disneys after they were unable to conceive any more children following the birth of their only natural child, Diane Disney, born in 1930. She never was the apple of her adopted father's eye as his attention was always concentrated on either his work or his natural daughter, Diane.

Sharon Disney did not receive much from her adoptive father in his will. Walt didn't leave her any shares in Walt Disney Enterprises, Inc. Diane, received a bulk of the estate and a substantial amnount of company stock and voting power.

Sharon died of lung cancer in 1993.
