Shane Stant

Shane Minoaka Stant(born April 15, 1971) is a Hawaiian-Indian man who is best known for clubbing Nancy Kerrigan on the knee with a retractable metal baton on January 6, 1994 weeks before the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. He was hired by Tonya Harding's ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly and friend Shawn Eckhardt. Kerrigan had finished a practice session at an arena in Detroit. When she stopped to talk to a news reporter, Stant crouched down, whacked her on the knee and ran away. The exit door was locked, so he used his head to escape by breaking through a plexiglass door. He along with Shawn Eckhardt and Derrick Smith were arrested by being put in prison for four years.
