Shane Filan

Shane Steven Filan is a member of the Irish boy band Westlife. He grew up in Sligo, a small town in Ireland. He was born on July 5, 1979. He's got three brothers and three sisters. His parents owned a diner in Sligo and Shane used to work there as a waiter from a very early age. He was a big fan of Michael Jackson and even learned how to moonwalk. He went to a Catholic school and participated in a school production of Grease when he was about sixteen or seventeen. He loves horses, owns lots of them, and used to compete at horse tournaments.

Shane's wife Gillian gave birth to their first child on 23rd July 2005, a daughter whom they named Nicole.
