Severance Hall
Severance Hall is a major concert hall located in the University Circle district of Cleveland, Ohio. Built by Cleveland philanthropist John Severance and named after his wife Elisabeth, the Hall was completed in 1931 and recently underwent an extensive two-year, $36 million restoration, winning the National Preservation Honor Award in 2001. It is the winter home of the Cleveland Orchestra, which performs there regularly from September through May, and it also hosts the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, a chamber music series, and a recital series featuring internationally known artists.
