The Sonnwendstein and Hirschenkogel lie to the east of it, the Pinkenkogel to the west. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Beside the Wechsel Pass, the Semmering is the most important connection between Lower Austria and Styria.
