Scandal hit the school in late September 2005, when an former student and his wife claimed that he had been sexually abused by a former teacher, Leigh Seville, during the 1970s. The teacher committed suicide after he was confronted by the school in 1991. This comes after a similar situation was revealed at another Canadian boys' school, Upper Canada College. The current administration at the school has little or no connection with this teacher, but the issue may threaten it's reputation.
