Sean Salisbury

Sean Salisbury (b. March 9, 1963 in Long Beach, California) is a football analyst and former NFL quarterback.

Salisbury played college football at the University of Southern California. During his eight-year NFL career, Salisbury played for the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, and San Diego Chargers. Salisbury finished his career with 3,824 passing yards, 19 touchdown passes, and 19 interceptions.

Since 1997, Salisbury has been an NFL analyst on ESPN, appearing on Sportscenter and NFL Live. He is well known for making fun of fellow analyst John Clayton (sportscaster) in the segment Four Downs, which adds to the entertainment value of the segment. The larger Salisbury often laughs at the scrawny, nerdy Clayton as part of the routine.

Salisbury was hired as a consultant for the 2005 remake of The Longest Yard. On the set, Salisbury was charged with teaching Adam Sandler quarterback mechanics, cadences, and footwork. Sandler later offered Salisbury a role in the 2006 film, The Benchwarmers.
