Scrooge
Scrooge is the surname of Ebenezer Scrooge, the selfish and miserly protagonist of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. The popularity of the original character is such that "Scrooge" has come into general usage as a term for a person who is stingy, antisocial, or lacking in Christmas spirit.
