Scout (truck)
The International Harvester (now Navistar) Scout was the first production American civillian off-road sports/utility vehicle (SUV). It was intially produced with the ability to remove the cab, windows, and the windshield. Later models had either a removable pickup style half cab or fully removable hard top. It was manufactured from 1961 to 1980. There were several production models of the IH Scout:

Scout 80/800 (1961-1971): The original production model (the Ford Bronco was based on this version).

Scout 810 (1971): This model was renamed "Scout II" in 1972.

Scout II (1972-1980): The later standard production model with a removable cab, soft, or hard top (100" wheelbase).

Scout II Terra (1976-1980): The light pickup truck version (118" wheelbase).

Scout II Traveler (1976-1980): This version had a removable fibreglass hard top (118" wheelbase).
