Scottish Division
The Scottish Division is a British Army command, training and administrative apparatus designated for all Scottish infantry regiments. The Scottish Division was formed in 1968 with the union of the Lowland Brigade and Highland Brigade. As of 2005, the Scottish Division is comprised of eight infantry battalions:

- 1st Battalion, The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons)
- 1st Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's)
- The 51st Highland Regiment
- The 52nd Lowland Regiment

In addition, the Scottish Division also maintains a Highland Band and a Lowland Band.

The Headquarters of the Scottish Division is located at the Edinburgh Castle. It is commanded by a "Colonel Commandant" who normally holds the military rank of Lieutenant General or Major General.

Under proposed restructuring schemes announced in 1994, the Scottish Division will soon be reorganized to include only the Royal Regiment of Scotland as the Division's primary infantry element.
